Frequently Asked Questions

What is a consultation like?

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. During this time, I can answer questions about my background and treatment approaches as well as any questions about my practice. You can tell me what your goals are and how I can be helpful. We both can use this time to make sure this feels like a good fit.

Do you take insurance?

No, I am not working with insurance companies right now. If you have out-of-network benefits, I am able to provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance, but I cannot guarantee reimbursement from them. I am currently offering telehealth visits via the Video Platform on Simple Practice. I find that telehealth therapy offers people with a busy schedule increased flexibility to participate.

Do you offer in person sessions?

I am currently offering telehealth visits via the Video Platform on Simple Practice. I find that telehealth therapy offers people increased flexibility to participate in therapy with a busy schedule.

What is your fee?

My fee is $150 per session which is scheduled for 50 minutes. My cancellation policy is 24 hours’ notice. There is a $75 dollar charge for canceling in that time.

How long do I need to stay in therapy?

How long you stay in therapy will depend on your goals and progress. Progress can take some time. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. I work with people for as long as they want to continue to work in therapy as long as clinically appropriate. This is something we would continue to evaluate together.

Does it matter where I am to participate in telehealth?

I ask people be in a quiet, private place to get the most out of their appointments. People also need to be physically located in the states of Massachusetts or Florida as those are the only two states, I am currently licensed in.
